What kind of Instagram account do I need?
SmartDM works with Instagram Business and Creator accounts. These are free to switch to from your Instagram settings and are required by Meta to access messaging and comment features through the official API.
Is SmartDM affiliated with Instagram or Meta?
No. SmartDM is an independent product that connects to your account through Meta’s official Instagram Graph API. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc.
How is my data protected?
You connect through Meta’s official and secure OAuth login, so we never see your Instagram password. Your data is encrypted in transit, access tokens are stored securely, and we only access what is needed to run the features you use. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Does automating messages respect Instagram’s rules?
Yes. SmartDM is built around Meta’s policies, including the 24-hour messaging window and comment-to-DM rules. We help you stay compliant while automating your conversations.
Do I need to know how to code?

Can I delete my data at any time?
